The 3500 is offered with a forestry mower of stump grinder attachment. Contractors using both attachments will find that the quick attachment coupler system enables them to switch from one attachment to the other in a matter of ten minutes by removing a couple of the hydraulic hoses and a pin.

A 74 inch wide Bandit manufactured forestry mower provides unmatched productivity for the 3500. The mower is equipped with 32 carbide teeth that are ideal for grinding both brush and trees. They are extremely tolerant against rock and dirt. A steel push bar is located on the top of the mower allowing the operator to easily direct material as it is being ground. The mower is driven hydrostatically using two 108CC hydraulic motors and is mounted on loader-style lifting arms that allow it to have a total mulching height of approximately 8 feet. This set-up allows the 3500 to grind trees farther up and then grind the remainder of the tree to the ground.

The stump grinder attachment is also highly productive. The cutter wheels are extremely durable and come equipped with circular cutting teeth that are tough and very aggressive. Three edges of these teeth can be dulled before being discarded. The teeth attach to the grinding pockets using a single bolt and the pockets attach to the wheel using a three bolt pattern. A rotary planetary hydraulic motor drives the cutterwheel and eliminates all drive belts and gear drive systems.

The undercarriage is equipped with a 3 speed drive with Creep, low and high speed settings. The creep mode provides a finite movement and control of the unit when grinding stumps or mowing large diameter trees. A low setting, which is most commonly used when grinding stumps or mowing dense stands. In low range, the unit will travel up to 150 feet per minute or 1.7 miles per hour. The high setting is usually the preferred setting for travel and will allow the carriers to travel 350 feet per minute or 4 miles per hour.

A spacious operator's cab is provided with a 6-way adjustable cushioned seat and joystick controls controlling all functions of the machines. A wrap around wind shield made of scratch resistant material provides the operator with full visibility of the work area. Adjustable rear view mirrors, along with a camera / monitor system gives the operator greater viewing of the back end of the unit. A heavy-duty ceiling mounted air conditioning and heating system provides optimal operator comfort in all types of weather conditions.

The Model 3500 is extremely accessible and easy to service. The operator's cab tilts sideways providing access to areas under the cab containing the hydraulic system. A bolt on belly plate with hinged trap door provides an easy means to remove debris that may accumulate on the belly plate.
