The model 2800 towable is our most compact towable stump grinder. This unit can easily be towed behind a standard pickup truck, and is easily maneuverable in tight locations. This unit features a 48 inch telescoping tongue that will allow the unit to extend out into the stump without having to reposition the unit.
The 2800 towable is powered by either a Caterpillar or Deutz 61 horsepower engine and will run all day with a 24-1/2 gallon fuel tank. This unit rides on a rubber Torflex axle and features full size 15 inch tires. A swing-out operator console positions the operator so they will have an excellent view of the stump, yet will also protect from flying debris. An optional radio remote control with tether backup can also be ordered so that the unit can be controlled from a remote location.
The grinding platform is built with a heavy-duty frame that is powered by a durable mechanical belt drive system. The 2800 towable features a 28 inch diameter cutter wheel with 24 GREENTEETH®. This unit will swing side to side 83 inches, cut below ground 14-1/4 inches and will grind a stump 44 inches high.
